- Change your cleanser: - You must avoid using harsh cleansers. The cleansers that you use must be gentle and skin-friendly. Keep in mind that your skin is very delicate unlike your kitchen pots and pans and so it does not require intense scrubbing.
- An apple a day: - You should eat an apple every day for glowing, flawless skin. It has Vitamin C which prevents the skin from aging. You can also have beetroots since they are rich in anti-oxidants. So, instead of using the chemical-laden skin products, include healthy fiber-rich food in your daily diet which will nourish your skin naturally.
- Don't use toners unnecessarily: - Toners are meant for balancing the pH level of the skin. It should be ideally used to maintain the optimum pH balance of the skin. However, if your soap or face-wash is already pH- balanced, or if your skin is naturally dry, toners can make it excessively dry.
- Forget the Fragrance: - Many people have the tendency to use perfumed products for their skin, be it perfumed soaps or fragrant creams. Some people cannot do without the feel-good factor of the skin products. But, people hardly know that it is the fragrance that triggers allergic reactions. So, it is better to use the fragrance-free products that contain a minimum level of fragrance necessary to de-odorize the other ingredients present in the products.
- Apply Sunscreen 20 minutes before you step out: - Application of sunscreen just before you step out of home is not effective in preventing tanning and skin damage. You need to give it a little time to settle on your skin and so, dermatologists recommend that you apply the sunscreen 20 minutes prior to going out.
- Get rid of dandruff: - You might be wondering why this one is included in the skin care tips. Apart from causing hairfall, dandruff also causes rashes on your facial skin. Get rid of the dandruff in your scalp and never let it come in contact with your skin.
- Hydrate the Skin: - Skin needs moisture to stay supple and healthy. Drink plenty of water and juices to keep your body well-hydrated.
