Many think the sun is intimidating for skin, especially for the face. The news on ozone holes and SPF-30 sunscreens further deepen their worry! A section of people feels that the aging-related issues such as wrinkles, age -spots and leathery texture are a result of ultraviolet radiation.
It may be true. But, over-protecting from the sun is also not advisable. Why? The Sun remains as the main sources of energy in the universe. Sunlight is a must to nourish the skin. It is the best source of Vitamin D. This vitamin is unavoidable in the calcium absorption process and for healthy bones.
Now, here is a challenge! Your skin has to get the benefits from the sun and at the same time, you have to protect it from the damages. How to tackle it? Simple, consider the application of herbs and herbal products to protect your skin. It is the best and the safest as well!
Herbs for the Skin
Herbal Facial Products such as watermelon pure is an excellent mask to make your facial skin cool. Try to apply it evenly, except the eye area, and rinse off with light warm water after 15 minutes. While doing it, cotton pads soaked in rose water (organic) can be placed over your closed eyes.
Similarly, Herbal Face Creams contain many ingredients to boost the skin's natural resistance. These ingredients protect the skin from the sun. The herbal creams also act as antioxidants to fight free radical damages. These creams keep the skin cells healthy, and well nourished.
Develop Healthy Habits
Always keep your skin properly moisturized by using herbal face moisturizers. Moisturizers are enriched in nutritional elements which keep your skin smooth, soft, and hydrated. If your skin is very photosensitive, drinking plenty of water and avoiding very hot water showers will help to keep the skin healthy and glowing. Following a diet enriched with vitamin E will also help to keep your skin healthy. Besides, try to avoid vigorous rubbing on your skin. Scratching and harsh rubbing with towel irritate the skin.
Including herbs in your skin care routine is a healthy habit which supports a healthy skin development process in the body. It will change your skin looking radiant.
Always remember that herbs can affect your skin negatively too! Like many other skin care products, herbal products too can cause itching which may turn into rashes. So, better do a skin test before using any herbal products, especially on your face. Take a little and rub it onto your arm and see if a rash or itching develops. If so, it means you are allergic to that particular herb and should not use it.
